Aradur 830 & 850
- The reactivity of the hardener mix is readily modifiable within wide limits by varying the ratio of slow-reacting Aradur 830 to highly reactive Aradur 850. Imparts to coatings and floor toppings:
- • excellent resistance to organic acids
- • good mechanical properties
- • outstanding resistance to abrasion
- • smooth, enamel-like, non-tacky film surfaces even if coatings are cured at low tem-peratures and high relative humidity
- • a tendency to discoloration when exposed to chemicals or light.
When used with any one of a number of liquid Araldite® epoxy resins (e.g. Araldite GY 250, GY 251, GY 253, GY 255, GY 257, GY 260, GY 266 or PY 302-2), the hardener mix 830/ 850 is suitable for the formulation of solvent-free heavy duty anticorrosion coatings and floor toppings.
Hardeners Aradur 830 and 850 should be stored in a dry place, preferably in the sealed original container, at temperatures between 2 and 40 °C. The products should not be stored exposed to direct sunlight. Crystallized Aradur 830 or 850 can be re-liquefied by heating to 60 to 80 °C while stirring.
