Carnauba wax is produced from the leaves of the Carnauba palm tree (Copernicia Cerifera), in the States of Rio Grande do Norte, Ceará and Piauí, in the north east of Brazil. Carnauba wax is obtained by cutting the leaves of the tree from September to March, then by drying and beat them in order to scale the wax layer. The wax is extracted and refined using water and filtration processes, being a perfect example of Sustainable use of Natural resources.
