The Candelilla plant (Euphorbia Cerífera) grows wild in semi-arid zones in Mexican Chihuahuan Desert, and it is harvested using careful manual process, ensuring the sustainability of the resource. Then the wax is separated from the plant with boiling water and refined by filtration and bleaching.
