Chemical Composition
Hydrophobic fumed silica
Advantages
- Low thickening effect
- Possible to incorporate up to 20 weight-% using the usual dispersion technology (such as bead mill)
- Acts as an active filler in acrylate systems
- As a filler it can increase the scratch resistance of paint and coating systems (such as UV-curing) and printing inks
- it improves the mechanical properties, such as the hardness of plastics
- anti-sagging, thixotropic, anti-settling effects
Other Applications
Methacrylate-functionalized reinforcing additive with cross-linking option for polymers, composite materials, printing inks, and acrylate-based coatings
acrylate, methyl acrylate, unsaturated polyester and vinylester adhesives
Storage
We recommend to store the product in closed containers under dry conditions and to protect the material from volatile substances.Aerosil® R 7200 should be used within 2 years after production.
