EPOTEC YD 126

Technical Documents

Epotec YD 126 is an unmodified liquid epoxy resin produced from bisphenol-A and epichlorohydrin processed to produce lower viscosity than standard liquid epoxy resin without any modification by diluent .The lower viscosity of this product enables the formulator to develop solvent free and high solids coatings without or with minimal use of diluents.

Storage

Epotec YD 126 resin should be stored in original tightly closed container, in dry and warm conditions to avoid crystallization. Under these conditions, it has a storage life of at least two years from the date of manufacturing.
Epotec YD 126 may become hazy or crystallize upon long storage especially when exposed to low temperatures.
The resin can be restored to its original condition by warming to 55-60ºC while stirring.
For handling or pumping the maximum temperature recommended is 80ºC.

Handling

A wide variety of curing agents are available to cure this liquid epoxy resin at ambient conditions and also at elevated temperature.
