Polyglykol® AB/25-8

Polyglykol® AB/25-8 by Clariant is a polyethylene glycol polypropylene glycol allyl butyl ether. It is is a colorless to slightly yellow, viscous, non-toxic liquid with a mild odor. It is a statistical copolymer of about 25 moles EO and 8 moles PO with allyl and butyl endcapping.

Other Applications

Reactions with silyl compounds (hydrosilylation reactions) can be carried out very easily using Pt-based catalysts. Under certain conditions other radical reactions or radical polymerizations are possible.
