Chemical Composition
Polyethylene glycol monomethyl ether
Advantages
- It is soluble in water and polar organic solvents like acetone or methanol. Polyglykol® M 350 can be considered as high molecular alcohol and therefore displays typical chemical reactions of alcohols. With isocyanates and polyester they act as endcap and hydrophilic component. When reacted with unsaturated monomers like acrylic or methacrylic acid esters are formed which can be copolymerized in order to increase hydrophilicity and improves dispersing properties of polymers in water.
