Product Type
Applications
Industry
Producer
Supplier
Advantages
- biodegradable
- low residual monomer content
- excellent mechanical properties
- enhanced flexibility due to the presence of an ether oxygen within the backbone of the polymer chain
- Offers an effective custom synthesis service tailored to individual product requirements
- When used in vivo, it degrades into monomers
- low toxicity
- lower modulus than PLA or PGA
- Renewable Resource Content
Other Applications
Medical (Surgery instruments, sutures)
Handling
For the production of sutures, PDS is generally extruded into fibers at the lowest possible temperature, in order to avoid its spontaneous de polymerization back to the monomer.
DIN EN ISO 9001 certification
