Dynasylan® SILBOND® 50 is a clear, low-viscosity liquid that is one of the most concentrated forms of available silica. It is partially hydrolyzed mixture of monomers, dimers, trimers, and high polymers. Average -Si-O-Si- chain length is about five.

Ethyl polysilicate
used as an intermediate towards less concentrated, more highly hydrolyzed binders for a variety of end uses
these binders are used for inorganic zinc rich coatings, investment casting molds, cores and ceramic shapes and coatings
encapsulant for hydroxyl poor fillers to enhance adhesion with functional silanes
crosslinker component in cold-curing silicone rubber systems
coupling agent/adhesion promoter between organic polymers and inorganic substrates (fillers, pigments, glass, metals surfaces, etc.)
Stored unopened and under proper conditions, the shelf life is expected to be a minimum of one (1) year.
It is hydrolyzed in water and miscible with organic solvents.
